Psychotherapy — Milwaukee

What is Psychotherapy?

Our clinic also offers psychotherapy in addition to neurofeedback. Psychotherapy – often called “talk therapy” – involves meeting with a trained therapist to talk through different issues and learn new skills. This can help to support and maintain the gains achieved during neurofeedback.

We have an expert team of psychologists trained in evidenced-based therapeutic interventions to address mental health and concussion symptoms. These different therapeutic interventions include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, Cognitive Rehabilitation for stroke and brain injury, Executive Functioning therapy for ADHD, as well as general psychodynamic and supportive therapy.

CBT & Emotional Challenges

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) addresses that kind of negative self-talk along with unhealthy thought-patterns that lead to self-destructive beliefs and behaviors.

CBT is one of the main types of psychotherapy (talk therapy) that explores the relationship between one’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

ERP Therapy & Anxiety

Among the many tried and true treatments for anxiety disorders is Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy or ERP.

ERP falls under the treatment category of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and helps people with obsessive thoughts stop responding with compulsions or rituals.
