What is Neuropsychological Testing?
Deciding what the next step is when you become aware of deficits in cognitive ability in yourself or a loved one is hard without a comprehensive understanding of your strengths and weaknesses, which may be contributing factors. Neuropsychological testing is simply a standardized evaluation process used to assess intellectual, academic, and psychological functioning. These tests are used to support diagnosis and treatment planning for different neurological and mental health conditions. It can also be used to assess the need for academic accommodations and provide guidance for planning academic supports, such as IEP and 504 plans, as well as testing accommodation recommendations.
Psychological testing is a process of problem solving to try and determine the core components of a person’s psychological or mental health problems, personality, IQ, or some other component. It is also a process that helps identifies not just weaknesses of a person, but also their strengths. Psychological testing can help to diagnose personality disorders (borderline or narcissistic), depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

All people are different, unique, with everyone having their own sets of strengths and challenges.
How do we truly identify what these are in individuals so that they can receive the proper supports and accommodations?
Nutrition and Mental Health

There is still a lot to learn, but we do have some idea about how diet impacts your brain.
